Read our Q&A Case Study with Lara Harrison of Superstar PAs
Our friend and client Lara Harrison recently celebrated ten years in business, after taking a huge leap of faith, out of the corporate world, in 2015. We caught up with this special lady at Shout network and asked her about her business and the role of promotional business gifts in her marketing.
Can you give us details about what you do, what you specialise in and why people choose to use you?
Virtual Personal Assistants, we take away your admin headaches to give you more time and reduce your stress levels. People choose us because we aren’t your box standard old-fashioned PAs, we are highly experienced ex corporate people that can bring a wealth of knowledge and support to your business. We also offer operational support and uninterrupted cover for holidays and sickness.
Why did you first decide you wanted to create your own branded gifts?
I saw or heard somewhere that the more times that people see your brand/logo the more likely they are to remember you so I decided to go with branded cups as typically, when I go to events, the tea cups they offer you are so small you have finished your drink in a couple of mouthfuls. I thought a bigger thermos mug that people could take to places/events with them and have a larger drink would be really helpful and they would remember me that way.
What is your objective when using branded gifts?
Brand recognition. The impact of giving and simple repeat exposure creates goodwill and makes us memeorable.
How successful have the gifts been for you, and do they fulfil your objectives?
They (refillable branded travel mugs) have been fantastic. People often comment when they see me with my own mug, that they have one too and often take it with them. Typically, I will have given it to them when I’ve presented at a networking event.
Have you used different types of products for specific campaigns or target audiences?
I do have branded notebooks and pens, that I send to our new clients. I ordered these many years ago before I met BusinessGiftUK and still have a good stock of them but when I run out, I will definitely re-order from you guys.
What attracted you to BusinessGiftUK.com as a supplier?
I met Kim at a Shout networking event and I wanted to use somebody that I knew and would see on a regular basis and support their business.
Are you a return customer? What makes BusinessGiftUK your top choice?
I am and will be a return customer. I am planning on ordering our Christmas cards from you. I see Steve regularly at networking events, he is very likable and I want to support their business.
Is there any aspect of service that you think BusinessGiftUK could do better?
No, I think they are fantastic.
Do you have a website or other pages that you would like us to link to?
We really want to thank Lara for her business and for her kind words. If you need a temporary helping hand, or longer term support getting organised and more efficient, talk to Lara at SuperstarPAs.
